Shakespeare in American Communities
2004-2005

In 2004-2005, 21 theater companies participated in Shakespeare in American Communities: Shakespeare for a New Generation, providing high-school and middle-school students in underserved schools and communities throughout the United States with high quality, professional prodctions of Shakespeare's plays. Participating theater companies received matching grants to help support performances and educational activities in their community, state, or region for students from at least ten schools.
